So, why the blog again? I have wanted to keep a beer journal for a long time and this will give me the opportunity to do that. Now the blog is going to be a beer journal that also addresses music, theology, philosophy and politics...sounds pretty sweet - let's see if that lasts at all.
So, here is an update to fit all of these categories. A new beer that I had this week was a Creme Brulee Stout from Southern Tier (http://www.southerntierbrewing.com/for%20download%20page/downloads_cremebrulee.html), which was excellent, but a little on the sweet side for any more than 8-12 oz.
In music, I have been very pleased with the new A7X album, Nightmare, which debuted last week. With the death of their drummer, Jimmy "Rev" Sullivan, I was not sure what direction they would take. There is a lot of Metallica in this album, but it is good Metallica. Dream Theater drummer, Mike Portnoy, drummed on the album.
